The relentless sun beat down on the yard sale, making the air shimmer with heat. Liam, however, felt a comfortable coolness spread through him as he surveyed the scene. He wandered along the rows of tables, barely noticing the other shoppers. He felt no particular need to find anything, just a general feeling of well-being.

Then, his gaze landed upon a familiar face - Sir Reginald, his old teddy bear. His fur was matted, his button eye had come loose, but he was instantly recognizable. Liam felt his muscles relax; the tension that had been coiled in him, slowly unwound. He reached out and gently took hold of the bear.

"How much for the knight?" he asked, his voice low and steady.
